Create a culture of civility in your neighborhood

Because It Matters is a local initiative to create a more civil community through the active participation of residents.  The idea is for all of us together to think about, discuss, and recognize the importance of being neighborly, polite, courteous, understanding, generous, and maybe even forgiving.  It is believed that this civility conversation will lead to a renewed sense of community in the region and a higher quality of life for the residents here. 
 

The Because It Matters Neighborhood/Civic Organization Advisory Committee helps neighborhoods make it as easy as possible to introduce the idea of neighborhood-wide civility.
