Garden Project Goal:
To share harvests and connect neighbors. Project Description: On Wisteria Street in Arlington Park, I've planted a small "community" herb garden in a small section of my front yard. A brick path up to the garden encourages passers-by to check out the garden patch, and a painted sign indicates that what is grown there is meant for sharing. Many of my neighbors have expressed delight with the small garden, and some even plan to start their own front yard garden patches. My next-door neighbors have already planted tomatoes, and the family up the street is offering up lemons. |
